Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• Plan the incorporation of landscape structures.
• Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements.
• Trim trees to achieve pruning objectives such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction.
• Manage landscaping projects.
• Prepare proposals.
• Estimate costs.
• Write specifications.
• Survey and assess designated sites.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and gardens.
• Apply treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with solutions.
• Assess the health of lawns.
• Direct crews who maintain golf courses and surrounding landscapes.
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease.
• Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping and other purposes.
• Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
• Plant and move trees.
• Tree removal.
