Job summary

A local landscaping and construction company in the Niagara Region is seeking a dependable individual for landscaping and general labour tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining lawns and gardens, assisting with construction support, and operating various tools safely. Ideal candidates have landscaping or construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy materials regularly. This position requires adaptability to various outdoor tasks throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, property maintenance, or construction preferred.
• Able to operate lawn mowers, trailers, bobcat, and construction tools safely.
• Physically fit to lift 50 lbs or more regularly.
• Valid driver's license (G or higher) with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions year-round.
• Ability to work independently and adapt between landscaping and construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and maintain lawns, gardens, and green spaces.
• Perform weeding, mulching, planting, and landscaping improvements.
• Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems and hardscape features.
• Construct and repair decks, fences, and outdoor structures.

Job description

Specific Responsibilities:

Landscaping & Property Maintenance (Spring to Fall)

·Mow, trim, and maintain lawns, gardens, and green spaces on properties owned by the company or under maintenance contracts.

·Perform weeding, mulching, planting, and general landscaping improvements as required.

·Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems, garden beds, and hardscape features.

·Construct and repair decks, fences, and outdoor structures according to project specifications.

·Operate and maintain landscaping tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.

Construction Support & General Labour (As Needed)

·Assist with garbage and debris removal from construction sites using company dump trailers.

·Transport and dispose of materials in compliance with waste management regulations.

·Support site supervisor with general skilled labour tasks such as framing, carpentry, and material handling.

·Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
