Deveraux Apartment Communities has been a comprehensive, professional property management firm since 2011. It presently manages over 5700 multi-family apartment units in Regina, Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Calgary. As a Landscape Technician, you will report directly to the Facilities Manager. The Landscape Technician will actively engage in tasks associated with the maintenance and preservation of property grounds within a designated portfolio. The overarching objective is to consistently ensure residents' high satisfaction by delivering exceptional service to all residents.

What you bring...

  • Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two years of experience in landscaping services.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written English is essential.
  • Demonstrated dedication to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Proficiency in operating equipment such as Aerators, Power Rakes, Power washers, Line painting tools, and various landscaping hand tools.
  • Prior experience with machine operation, particularly with bobcats and skid steers, is considered an asset. Training may be offered for suitable candidates.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime, is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and take ownership of actions and decisions, seeing them through to resolution.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license Access to a reliable vehicle is an asset.
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds is necessary.

You will...

  • Engage in physically demanding tasks consistently, under the guidance of the Facilities Manager or the Area Manager, to uphold the upkeep of all property grounds.
  • Provide general labour assistance to the maintenance technicians at various sites as required.
  • Regularly service and maintain all equipment, tools, and cleaning apparatus.
  • Conduct comprehensive lawn and grounds maintenance, encompassing activities such as mowing, trimming, fertilizing, top dressing, weed spraying, and the oversight of sprinkler systems.
  • Execute snow removal and operate machinery as required.
  • Strategize and carry out minor repairs and the replacement of sod, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping components.
  • Preserve and manage small equipment and tools relevant to landscaping.
  • Tackle tasks including lot cleaning, line painting, sanding, and shoveling.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the property and grounds in alignment with Deveraux Apartment Community Standards.
  • Fulfill additional assignments as delegated by management

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
