Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Manager to oversee our landscaping operations in the GTA. This full-time role involves managing crews, coordinating projects, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and client satisfaction. Any Aspire program experience is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise landscaping projects, including maintenance, planting, and hardscaping for commercial properties.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 20 - 25 field staff, including scheduling and performance oversight.
  • Collaborate with the lead mechanic to ensure equipment (e.g., mowers, trucks) is maintained and operational.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), including first aid and safety protocols.
  • Manage client relationships, address concerns (e.g., complaints), and uphold service standards.
  • Prepare budgets, monitor costs, and report to senior management on project progress.
  • Respond to seasonal demands, including snow removal transitions, with flexibility for early mornings or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in landscape management or a related field.
  • Certification in horticulture, landscape design, or equivalent (e.g., Landscape Industry Certified Manager) is an asset.
  • Proven leadership experience with teams in commercial landscaping.
  • Strong knowledge of local plants, irrigation systems, and equipment maintenance.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean record; ability to operate landscaping vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
