Qualifications

Job description

You are a leader with a keen eye for creating beautiful landscapes. You are skilled with your hands and not afraid to get them dirty. You have both horticultural and mechanical aptitude. If this sounds like you, Broadstreet Properties is seeking a Landscape Foreman to join our team year-round.

The Landscape Foreman leads and manages the enhancement and maintenance of landscaping at our multi-family residential properties throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas. This role requires strong organizational, planning, and supervisory skills for grounds and landscaping needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing residential and commercial landscapes, experienced in grounds design, and skilled in construction maintenance.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing labor, materials, and equipment to complete projects
  • Coordinating and directing grounds crew members
  • Conducting daily site inspections to diagnose and address issues
  • Enhancing curb appeal through landscaping, signage painting, and curb painting
  • Monitoring property moisture levels for irrigation needs
  • Pruning flowers, shrubs, and trees, and replacing plants as necessary
  • Controlling insect and fungal infestations with pesticides and herbicides
  • Maintaining parking lots, ensuring they are accessible and snow-free

Qualifications for success:

  • At least 2 years of maintenance and landscaping experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
  • Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential buildings
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Experience with computers, smartphones, and tablets for emails, work orders, and timesheets
  • On-call availability one week per month, 24/7
