Here we grow again! If you enjoy working outdoors and have fond memories of mowing lawns during your summer job in middle school, then a career in the Horticultural Industry might be for you. Horticultural companies work to preserve and enhance clients' landscapes. Projects can range from caring for grass and shrubs to tending turf, trees, and other landscape elements at luxury resorts.

Since maintaining attractive landscapes is popular, there is often ongoing work for horticultural professionals. This isn't just a summer lawn-mowing job anymore! We at Mr. Lawnmower are seeking energetic and motivated individuals with strong leadership qualities and attention to detail. Based in Scarborough, we currently have openings for a Lawn Maintenance/Landscape Construction Foreman and Landscape/Lawn-care Technicians. Candidates must be dependable, honest, and trustworthy. References are mandatory.

Landscape Construction Crew Foreman/Manager:

A qualified foreman will be expected to:

• Read blueprints and project specifications.
• Complete daily job site journals and work orders.
• Lead weekly toolbox meetings.
• Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate various equipment.
• Hold a valid Class G driver's license.
• Provide own transportation to sites.
• Work weekends and long hours.
• Schedule materials and equipment for upcoming days.
• Manage and coordinate crews.
• Plant trees, shrubs, and lay sod.
• Rake, level, and grade surfaces.
• Install hard and soft landscapes (Wet Lay and Asset).

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma.
• CLT/CLP certification or a two-year technical college certificate in horticulture is an asset.
• Valid first aid certificate is an asset.
• WHMIS training is an asset.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
