Our client offers engineering and design services in the Land/Site Development, Municipal Infrastructure, Water Resources, Transportation/Traffic, Recreational, and Structural sectors. Our client is looking for a Land Development Designer or Engineer to join their team! This individual will be responsible for the detailed design, approvals, and construction of a variety of Land Development related projects. There are opportunities for consulting engineering clients in both Toronto and Ottawa. The ideal candidate would have to possess a thirst for learning and undertake best practices for design projects consisting of residential and commercial development and site plans.
Job Duties:
- Complete design calculations based on engineering principles, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards, and convey design for drafting completion.
- Responsible for reviewing and sealing the design.
- Perform engineering design and analysis.
- Evaluate project information to identify possible design solutions, coordinate and communicate with the Project Manager, clients, and consultants to ensure design will work within the overall scope of the project.
- Technical report preparation.
- Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited academic institution.
- CET, P.Eng, or EIT designation.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Strong technical skills in Land Development and Civil Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Civil3D.
- Ability to maintain relationships with approval and client staff.
- Successful track record of delivering projects such as residential subdivisions, commercial site plans, road design and reconstruction, sewer, water, and other linear infrastructure projects are mandatory.
