Land Development and Construction Project Manager

The GeoFocus Group specializes in developing and constructing purpose-built rental housing across Ontario, focusing on CMHC MLI Select and community-driven infill projects. We excel at resolving stalled approvals, incomplete drawings, and occupancy challenges through data-backed decisions, experienced leadership, and practical execution.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Land Development & Construction Project Manager with expertise in delivering missing middle rental housing. Your role will involve overseeing land development and construction activities from pre-acquisition to site approvals and construction completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead development of rental housing types including townhomes and apartments
  • Coordinate zoning, variances, and site plan approvals
  • Manage design teams through various project stages
  • Oversee pre-construction and construction planning, tendering, and budgeting
  • Work with lenders and underwriters to align development and financing
  • Supervise construction to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Address and resolve site logistics, design conflicts, and municipal delays

You Bring

  • 5+ years in land development or construction project management
  • Experience with purpose-built rental housing
  • Knowledge of Ontario planning processes
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
