Job summary

The Lillooet Tribal Council is seeking an LBH Assistant to work with the LBH Coordinator in delivering land-based healing activities. This role supports connecting people to land, culture and language, addressing intergenerational impacts from residential schools, and related prevention, intervention, and aftercare efforts.

Responsibilities include planning and evaluating LBH activities, building partnerships, assisting with events, and ensuring data collection for reporting.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with St’át’imc culture, language, and protocols.
  • Experience in working with indigenous people and organizations.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Physically fit and have a self-care plan in place.
  • Work as a team and independently.
  • Must be able to travel to and work in remote areas.
  • Work flexible hours with some evenings and weekends.
  • Current Criminal Records Check working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Valid BC driver’s license and vehicle.

  • Works to ensure a culturally safe program respecting the privacy and confidentiality of individuals who participate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SALARY: $23- $26 dependent upon education and experience.

Pursuant to section 41 of the British Columbia Human Rights Code, preference will be given to applicants of St’át’imc or Indigenous Ancestry.
