Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.
Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage open-pit heap leach project in Nevada, part of the larger South Carlin Complex. Recently, we acquired the Musselwhite Mine in Northern Ontario, which has over 25 years of operating history, allowing us to double our gold production and enter a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. Musselwhite is highly prospective for resource expansion and increased mine life.
At Orla, we aim to build a legacy of excellence, respect, and sustainable value through responsible gold mining. We are committed to creating a net positive benefit for all stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety, care, and respect, and operating high-quality mines with an experienced team.
We are seeking a Mine Planner to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Engineer Mine Planning, the Mine Planner will deliver high-quality mine designs and daily engineering outputs, focusing on short-term planning and execution, including development and stoping designs, drilling and blasting packages, and data-driven improvement initiatives. The role involves working closely with operations, technical services, and other departments to ensure safe and efficient production.
The schedule for this position will be 14 days on and 14 days off, with 12-hour shifts.
