Position Title: Staff Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Controller

Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Compensation: $70,000

Please be informed that the location of this job is at Lancaster Municipal Stadium. The address is 45116 Valley Central Way, Lancaster, CA 93536.

Position Summary: ASM Global in Lancaster, California has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant working locally at one of our event venues assisting with finance and accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle accounting for the food and beverage operations at a medium sized soccer and live entertainment stadium in Lancaster, CA
• Process accounts receivable by maintaining record of all concessions and catering revenues for the building in the accounting system
• Process accounts payable by entering vendor invoices and working with managers to obtain approvals as needed while making weekly payments to vendors to clear accounts and monitoring aged AP
• Assist with payroll processing and related reporting functions
• Under supervision, manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end.
• Enter journal entries into Microsoft Dynamics (D365)
• Act as a partner for local F&B staff for all finance and accounting needs
  
  

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required, with at least one year of clerical or accounting experience. Must have experience with payroll processing and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Strong Excel skills are essential, and familiarity with accounting software is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus

• Must understand basic accounting principles.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Must be able to prioritize schedules, work independently and follow instructions.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
  
  

Computer Skills:

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Accounting software experience required
• Candidates with experience using Microsoft Dynamics accounting software will be given priority
