Job Summary: Applies in-depth knowledge of maternal and neonatal conditions affecting breastfeeding. Assesses and manages complex lactation issues, supporting mothers in achieving their breastfeeding goals. Acts as a member of the healthcare team as a consultant, educator, and mentor to staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct care for inpatient mother-baby pairs and neonates.
  • Develops and revises childbirth, newborn care, postpartum, and breastfeeding classes for expectant and new parents.
  • Creates and updates staff education on breastfeeding management for healthcare professionals.
  • Assists in managing the breast pump rental station.
  • Manages workflow in the perinatal education department.
