Job Description

Under the supervision of the site manager, the labourer will be responsible for sorting different types of metals using manual processes.

  • Sort metals according to their characteristics;
  • Prepare materials to meet quality criteria (e.g., cutting aluminum);
  • Operate machinery such as forklifts;
  • Maintain cleanliness of the premises;
  • Assist with loading and unloading customer vehicles;
  • Assign the correct type of metal to customer-provided metals;
  • Participate in shipping tasks;
  • Assist with torch cutting as needed;
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • On-site training provided;
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a day laborer;
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty environments;
  • Knowledge of metals is an asset;
  • Comfortable wearing PPE (masks, helmets, gloves, etc.).

Additional Information
