Job Description

Under the supervision of the site manager, the labourer will be responsible for sorting different types of metals using manual processes.

• Sort the different metals according to their characteristics.
• Prepare the material to meet quality criteria (e.g., cutting aluminum).
• Work with different types of machinery (forklift).
• Ensure the premises remain clean at all times.
• Assist with loading and unloading customer vehicles.
• Assign the correct type of metal to the metals provided by the customer.
• Participate in shipping tasks.
• Assist with torch cutting as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• On-site training provided.
• Minimum of 12 months experience as a day laborer.
• Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
• Knowledge of metals is an asset.
• Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (mask, caps, helmets, gloves, etc.).
