Domtar Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Corporation is currently recruiting for entry level labouring positions at our mill in Port Mellon, BC. The role involves housekeeping, equipment operation, and other general mill duties as assigned, with a 24/7 operation and a 12-hour rotating shift including weekends and holidays.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time; included, but not limited to standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending and lifting
• Ability to work with or around machinery and equipment

Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Corporation is currently recruiting for entry level labouring positions. Labour pool employees may be assigned to all areas of the mill as needed. The position is responsible for a variety of job activities, including but not limited to housekeeping, equipment operation, and other general mill duties as assigned or required. The duties depend on the priority of the assignments. A successful applicant must be willing and able to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation, including working a 12-hour rotating shift which includes weekends and holidays. This is a bargaining unit position with a starting wage rate of $34.72/hr and applicable shift premiums. All PPE will be provided. A competitive and comprehensive benefits package includes extended health & dental, vision care and pension plan included.
