Job summary

Blackline Civil is seeking a Labourer to support underground utility construction in Alberta. You will work with operators and supervisors on trenching, pipe installation, and site upkeep.

Must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work and follow team directions to ensure safety and quality. Role offers full-time employment with a path for growth in a rapidly expanding civil division and ongoing projects across Alberta.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or labour experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching and excavation work.
• Help install water, sewer, and storm pipes.
• Load/unload materials and tools.
• Use hand tools (shovels, tampers, saws, etc.).
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization.
• Direct traffic or equipment when required.
• Follow instructions from Topman, Foreman, and operators.

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking Labourer to assist with underground utility construction, including water, sewer, and storm systems. You’ll work alongside operators, pipelayers, and supervisors to support trenching and pipe installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching and excavation work
• Help install water, sewer, and storm pipes
• Load/unload materials and tools
• Use hand tools (shovels, tampers, saws, etc.)
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization
• Direct traffic or equipment when required
