We are hiring seasonal temporary labourers in our Parks section within the trails team. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks and duties of a physical nature relating primarily to maintenance and repair of trails, bridges, stairs, boardwalks, drainage systems and other trail-related structures within the City of Maple Ridge.
Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled manual tasks, including but not limited to operating a variety of equipment and performing functions such as grass cutting, litter control, field maintenance, general parks maintenance, building maintenance, gardening, repairing vandalism, preparing for special events, and perform related unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in parks, cemetery, and recreation areas. You will take directions and assist various tradespeople. Maintain effective public relations with facility users and the community.
Driver’s License (Class 5) valid in the Province of British Columbia
Positions are based on an eight (8) hour day—forty (40) hour week.
Standard First Aid Certificate
This is a temporary full-time position for approximately six months which may be extended or concluded due to unforeseen circumstances. The successful candidate will start the position in April 2026.
