By applying to this job, you are applying for the 2025 FALL TURNAROUND. This role involves joining CEDA's Mobile Workforce, which staffs our turnaround events throughout the year.Details :
- Start Date : Intake begins early to mid September.
- Duration : The project(s) will last from 2 to 8 weeks, with the possibility of redeployment to other projects or full-time work upon completion.
- Location : Positions available in Sarnia.
- Compensation : Hourly rates for out-of-town candidates start at $23.50/hr (travel and accommodations provided). Local candidates' rates range from $23.50 to $29/hr.
- Shift : 6x1 or 12x2 shifts, 10-12 hours per day, days and nights.
- Overtime : Overtime is eligible. Shifts are based on an 8/44 rule.
- Accommodation and Travel : Provided by CEDA for non-local candidates.
- Training : Opportunities to build skills, equipment knowledge, and industry tickets through CEDA's shutdown training program.
What you do :
- Assist operators with the operation and maintenance of vacuum trucks, high-pressure water equipment, and specialty tools.
- Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor-intensive capacity.
- Safely climb into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment, with experienced crew support.
- Perform minor maintenance and checks on equipment.
- Ensure safety for all team members and property.
- Provide quality services to clients.
- Work as part of a team and follow supervision.
- Learn new skills daily by rigging in and out of specialty equipment.
- Leave the job site in better condition: clean, safe, and complete.
- Haul hoses, PPE, and tools to work areas.
- Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs.
- Practice attention to detail, ensuring tasks are done right the first time and safely.
What you bring :
- At least 1 year of labor experience in an industrial environment.
- Valid CSO certification is required.
- Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications are assets.
- Ability to read and write to meet testing requirements.
- Ability to work shifts (days/nights) of 10-12 hours per day.
- Ability to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test result.
