Based in Edmonton, the Labourer is responsible for performing general labour activities on utility (electrical and civil) construction sites. They will liaise with tradespersons, coordinators, managers, and site superintendent personnel in order to accomplish project milestones in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
Summary
As a Labourer/landscaper you will be responsible for maintaining various Manitoba Hydro site locations in the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas. The range of duties includes backfilling holes, topsoil & seed installation as well as laying down sod. You may be required to operate various vehicles which include (5 ton minidump, dump trailer & water truck) to be driven around jobsites.
You should be available to work Monday - Friday between 7 am to 5 pm and occasional weekends (if required) and be able to operate a variety of equipment and tools as well as lift 20-30 pounds. This is an outdoor position, and the Labourer/landscaper must enjoy working outdoors in a variety of temperatures. You need to understand and follow verbal directions with minimal supervision.
