Requirements

Completion of middle school, able to read, write, and perform basic math
Previous experience in a production environment preferred
Ability to travel to and from the workplace during regular hours (location NOT on a bus route)
Satisfactory criminal record check
Physically able to kneel, crouch, lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs

Job Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Manufacturing Labourer, Joist Production, you will perform general labour activities, support the Production team, and ensure cleanliness and organization of the site.

Responsibilities

Perform basic carpentry tasks, assemble lumber packages, secure materials, inspect for accuracy and quality
Cut wood according to specified dimensions and angles
Review work orders for equipment setup and procedures
Build and stack pony walls, band bundles with steel strapping
Operate forklifts safely, move goods, supply materials
Inspect and maintain equipment, report mechanical issues
Work safely, follow safety regulations
Support other projects or duties as assigned
