Job summary

The Mosaic Company is hiring a Labourer for its Esterhazy, SK site. You will safely perform duties in an assigned area on rotating 12‑hour shifts, with training to operate hand and power tools and to complete required task sheets.

You will help keep the work area safe and assist or train other labourers as needed. Applicants must be physically fit, able to lift light loads, read and write basic English, and be authorized to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential functions safely without posing risk to self or others.
• Able to lift 0–25 lbs occasionally and work at various heights.
• Read, write and understand basic English.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and follow OH&S rules.
• Willing to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including overtime.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in assigned area and maintain a clean, safe workplace.

Job Title: Labourer

To safely and efficiently perform the duties of a Labourer in an assigned area on an assigned shift. An employee will have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities through training, practice, experience, examinations, and task observation to progress within the Company.

What you’ll do?

• Demonstrate aptitude for safety and work safely in all situations.
• Demonstrate he/she is physically fit and capable of lifting.
• Complete training on hand and power activated tools.
• Complete exam and task sheets on equipment as required.
• Keep work area safe and clean.
• Train other labourers as required.
• Interpret and carry out written or oral instructions, and to make written reports as required.
• Diligently adhere to all relevant legal environmental requirements.
• Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with.

What you’ll need:

• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others.
• Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to climb stairs and work at various heights.
