Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Labourer to perform basic physical tasks in assembly yards at transmission construction projects across Canada. The role involves site preparation, cleaning, material handling, and assisting other craft workers.

The position is full-time and permanent, with overtime and travel as project schedules require. Competitive hourly wage starts at 21.39 CAD, plus health benefits, pension, vacation pay, boot and clothing allowances, and apprenticeship

Qualifications

• General knowledge of construction operations and safety practices.
• Strong teamwork and communication to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for overtime/weekend hours as project schedules require.
• Physically fit for manual labour in varying weather and environments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract preferred (Class 1A a bonus).

Position Summary

The Labourer (full-time, permanent) will perform basic tasks involving physical labor in assembly yards at transmission construction projects. They may clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble and debris, and remove potentially hazardous waste materials. Position, join, align, and steal structural components. Labourer's may assist other craft workers.

Candidate Requirements

• General knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction, maintenance methods and procedures is required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines
• Ability to travel to frequent overtime hours and weekend hours as required to accommodate to project schedules and needs
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
• Valid driver’s license with a clean/acceptable driver’s abstract (Class 1A license highly preferred)
