Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Stettler, Alberta is seeking a Labourer for our Agriculture (John Deere) location. The role assists the service department by cleaning agricultural equipment and the shop, and by working with technicians; it is an entry point for someone pursuing an apprenticeship.

You will help maintain the yard, organize equipment, support dismantling of heavy components, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive workshop environment every day.

Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing an apprenticeship.
• Demonstrate safe and efficient workplace practices.
• Possess mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to carry out and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds in a heavy-duty environment.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Detail agricultural equipment after repairs are completed.
• Maintain wash bay equipment and cleanliness.
• Clean parts and components.
• Clean and maintain yard and shop.
• Assist in dismantling heavy equipment and components.
• Organize equipment in the yard and maintain dealership premises.
• Perform some inventory maintenance.
• Assist shop personnel to increase productivity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Labourer for our Stettler Agriculture (John Deere) location. This position is responsible for assisting in the agriculture service department. Duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning agricultural equipment and the shop, and working with technicians. The labourer will play a key role in assisting the other personnel fulfill their duties and increase overall shop productivity. This position is an entry point for someone interested in pursuing an apprenticeship.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Detailingagricultural equipment once the repairs have been completed
• Maintaining the wash bay equipment and the cleanliness of the wash bay
• Cleaning parts and components
• Cleaning and maintaining the yard and shop
• Assisting in the dismantling of heavy equipment and components
• Organizing equipment in the yard and maintaining dealership premises (grading, leveling snow removal)
• Some inventory maintenance
• Assisting the other shop personnel with fulfilling their duties and increase overall shop productivity
• Other duties as assigned
