Overview

Custom Fabricators & Machinist's Field Service department is seeking a labourer to join our team in Cape Breton NS on a 1 year contract commencing the end of September 2025 for 10 months.

This position is located in Cape Breton, NS

Responsibilities
  • Handle materials and equipment: safely lift, carry, and move construction materials around sites.
  • Perform general labourer tasks: shop housekeeping and other hands-on work to support projects.
  • Site maintenance: keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the day.
  • Perform inspections: check equipment and site conditions to identify potential hazards before starting tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years of labour experience is preferred but not required for motivated candidates.
  • Experience in industrial setting is considered an asset.
  • Skills & Knowledge: A strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying, and pushing wheelbarrows for extended periods.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with your crew and leadership.
