Job summary

Walters Group in Ontario, Princeton facility, is seeking a Labourer with a strong work ethic for growth and development on our steel fabrication team. This full-time role offers hands-on training and opportunities to advance within a family-owned company with 65+ years of experience.

You will read work orders, load and unload trailers, sort metal sheets and parts, and perform basic cutting using hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders.
• Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters Standards.
• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials.
• May cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• Completes project specific tasks as assigned and required.
• Performs housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Assists in the movement of material in the plant/property by use of crane, forklift.

About the Position:

Walters is looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude who are seeking a position that will provide skill growth and development.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Labourer will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Read and interpret work orders.
• Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters Standards.
• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials.
• May cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• Completes project specific tasks as assigned and required.
• Performs housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Work Location:

• Princeton Facility.

Position Requirements:

Compensation Package:

• Wage: $20.00-$24.00/Hour
