What does the job look like?

As a Road Maintenance Crew Member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safe roads year-round by performing essential tasks to maintain and enhance road infrastructure. You'll be responsible for road maintenance tasks such as spring clean-up of our roads, bridges, as well as road repairs such aspotholepatching,replacing signs, and guard rails. While performing Labourer duties, you'll be responsible for safely operating our pick-up trucks and heavy equipment, along with operating our snow plows during the winter season.

  • Road& RoadsideMaintenance:You will perform activities such as traffic control (flagging), pothole patching, weed whacking,brushing, ditching, shouldering, sign repairs, washout repairs,guide rail repairs, andsnow plowing.

In accordance with County Policy, a Police Record Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.

Previous experience with snow removal, traffic control and flagging would be considered an asset.
