Job summary

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. is seeking laborers for our industrial team in Niverville, MB. You will support site operations, handling materials, cleaning, and assisting with concrete and scaffolding tasks as part of a safety‑driven crew.

Candidates must have WHMIS2015, fall protection training, and the ability to work in all weather. English fluency and the ability to lift up to 25 kg are required for this role.

Qualifications

• WHMIS2015 certification or training.
• Fall Protection/working at heights training (in class).
• Experience as a Labourer in an industrial construction environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 25 kg.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cleanup work sites.
• Move materials and equipment; perform demolition, excavation, and related tasks.
• Handle and distribute materials to and from work areas.
• Assist with concrete placement and forms setup as needed.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, barriers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) is a multi-disciplined construction company offering superior civil, electrical and mechanical services including piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. We’re always on the search for exceptional craft candidates to fill our ever-expanding project portfolios. ACSI is seeking experienced Labourers to join our industrial team to support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cleanup work sites.
• Move materials and equipment, perform demolition, excavation, compaction activities, remove rubble and debris.
• Handle and distribute materials (load, unload supplies, equipment, tools to and from work areas).
• Place, consolidate and protect cast-in-place concrete or masonry structures (eg. Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, mix, pour, and spread concrete; use electric and pneumatic vibrators).
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, showing and barricades.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience

• WHMIS2015
• Fall Protection/working at heights – In Class
• Experience as a Labourer in an industrial construction environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
• Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
