Role Summary

Terus Construction, a Division of Colas Western Canada Inc. is looking to hire a seasonal Labourer for our operations in East Kootenay, BC.

Main Responsibilities

1. General labourer duties associated with road construction operations
2. Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools
3. May be called upon to run small power tools
4. Operate equipment as needed
5. Yard, plant and equipment clean up as needed
6. Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials
7. Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience

1. Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent preferred.
2. Physically able to work general labour

Requirements

1. Overtime as required
2. Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
3. Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry 50 LBS as needed
4. Use of personal protection equipment is required
5. Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements

Compensation

The anticipated wage range for this position is $22-$28 / hr. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
