Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relations: Be the go-to person for providing support to clients and employees, ensuring performance meets or exceeds expectations.
  2. Workforce Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement efficient workforce schedules that align with project timelines, seasonal variations, and operational demands.
  3. Recruitment & Staffing: Partner with HR to recruit and onboard skilled labor, ensuring the right people are in the right roles on time.
  4. Performance Monitoring: Track employee performance, providing guidance to enhance productivity and achieve high standards.
  5. Labour Cost Management: Manage labour costs, keeping projects within budget while maintaining efficiency.
  6. Compliance & Safety: Uphold labor laws and safety standards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  7. Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve labor-related issues quickly and fairly, keeping projects on track.
  8. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on project status, costs, and performance to senior management.
  9. Communication & Collaboration: Foster clear communication between management, workers, and clients to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
Skills & Abilities
  • Proven experience in coordinating labour services, project management, or similar roles within mining, construction, or other project-based industries.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with project/data management tools.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee labor costs.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, OR 5+ years of hands-on experience in a coordinator role within labour services or mining environments.
  • Experience with scheduling, staffing, and labour resource management.
  • Familiarity with procurement, contract management, and proposal preparation.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment, with sensitivity to diversity and cultural awareness.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
