Telecon is looking for an energetic and career-minded individual to join our growing team as Labour Relations Specialist.

Location: Vaughan, Ontario

The Labour Relations Specialist works closely with the organization and Talent and Culture team on all matters related to Labour Relations. You will play a strategic role, leading complex mandates in your field, acting as an expert in Labour Relations management, and handling the application, interpretation, and negotiation of collective agreements. You will also advise managers and HR stakeholders and support strategic decisions related to Labour Relations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and act as spokesperson for collective agreement renewals, developing negotiation strategies.
  • Support Talent and Culture Business Partners and Managers with labour law and collective agreement interpretation, preparing submissions and responses.
  • Provide advisory support on complex labour and employee relations cases.
  • Lead confidential employee investigations.
  • Analyze data related to labour relations issues and advise on organizational trends.
  • Negotiate and represent Telecon during grievance committees and tribunals, collaborating with legal and HR teams.
  • Liaise with Legal Services and other stakeholders.
Required Profile
  • University degree in industrial relations, law (labor and employment law), human resources management, or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in labour relations, including representing employer interests before tribunals.
  • Knowledge of Ontario labour laws and jurisprudence.
  • Proven relationship-building skills and a win-win approach.
  • Problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in construction or telecommunications is an asset.
