Job description

Are you specialized in Labour Relations? Our client in Burnaby is seeking an experienced Labour Relations Advisor to join their growing team. The Labour Relations Advisor will work in a team of 5 and will be responsible for leading all Labour Relations activities as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides advice and guidance to managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of the collective agreement and related Letters of Understanding on a wide range of labour relations topics and issues.
  • Provides day-to-day advice and guidance to HR Associates when handling complex labour relations matters
  • Labour and classification grievances, appeals, and expedited arbitrations. Researches background information, interviews the relevant parties, documents

findings, develops recommendations, and prepares backup materials.

  • Participates in bargaining meetings and mediation sessions, provides support to employer bargaining committees
  • Prepares collective agreements following the conclusion of bargaining
