Job summary

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is seeking an Earthworks Lead Hand for the Eskay Creek Mine site in British Columbia. You will lead field crews in earthworks, civil construction, and equipment operation while adhering to safety standards in a remote, challenging environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mining or civil construction with equipment experience, BC Shift Boss Ticket, and a valid driver’s licence. Camp accommodations and paid flights are provided for Western Canada departures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and driving record acceptable.
• Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence.
• BC Mines Shift Boss Ticket.
• First Aid Certification.
• Minimum 5 years in civil construction/mining or related mine operations.
• Minimum 5 years of equipment operating experience.
• Experience operating at least two of: mini excavators, loaders, skid steers, fusing machines, manlifts, telehandlers.
• Experience leading, directing, or mentoring field crews.
• Experience with pump installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting.
• Experience with HDPE pipe bolt-up and/or fusion.
• Experience installing culverts, drainage, and environmental controls.
• Ability to read and interpret IFC and construction drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather.
• Comfortable in remote, rugged environments.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews on earthworks and civil construction at Eskay Creek Mine.
• Operate and supervise mining equipment per site standards.
• Ensure safety and teamwork in remote, challenging conditions.
• Read and interpret IFC and construction drawings.
• Coordinate camp logistics, flights, and ground transport.
