Job summary

City of Laval is seeking a Laborer for its Public Works Service. On-site work at various Laval locations with night, weekend, and some day contracts. Base hours are 36 per week with a winter average of about 17 weeks and start mid-November.

Duties include maintenance of roadways, parks and public spaces, and snow removal to keep streets safe. Requirements: valid class 5 license (class 1–3 asset), high school or vocational diploma, SST card or course registration, and good physical condition.

Qualifications

• SST card (ASP construction) or proof of registration for the course.
• Valid class 5 driver's license or higher; class 1/2/3 asset.

POSTING PERIOD: Indeterminate

SALARY: Class3 – $32.61

SCHEDULE:

• Night shift: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 PM to 5:00 AM
• Weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Day shift: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Some day contracts available)

WORK MODE: On-site

WORK LOCATION: Various locations in the City, Various sites in the City of Laval

In winter, you play a key role in snow removal operations to keep our streets and sidewalks safe and accessible for all Lavallois and Lavalloises.
