Performs core processing on heavy oil and conventional core in the Routine Rocks Department. Responsibilities include core slabbing/sandblasting, core extrusion, sampling, running core gamma, and measuring petrophysical properties. The position reports directly to the Rocks Supervisor and ensures client deadlines are met.
The employee must regularly sit, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, and bend. Must work in an environment with odors typical of petroleum or petrochemicals without adverse reactions. Use of personal protective equipment, including respiratory gear, is required and provided. The department offers training, engineering controls, and product information to minimize exposure risks.
