Qualifications

  • Proven experience in environmental or chemical laboratory work.
  • Class 5 Driver's license required.
  • Ability to perform duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products for quality assurance.
  • Perform pulp quality testing and chip testing.
  • Provide relief duties for water treatment as needed.

Job description

Your mission:

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Technician will support production processes by conducting tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and industry compliance.

  • Pulp quality testing
  • Chip testing
  • Water treatment relief duties as required
Your profile:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Grade 12 completion or GED
  • Two-year diploma in a Technology Program with emphasis on chemical and/or environmental analysis from a recognized Technical Institute; or
  • Bachelor of Science from a recognized University
  • Proven experience in environmental or chemical laboratory work
  • Class 5 Driver's license
  • Knowledge of computerized systems
  • Proactive, detail-oriented work approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
