About the Position
Working under the supervision of the Quality/Food Safety Manager, collaborating with plant millers, operators and bulk truck loaders; the successful applicant will safely perform the required analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products, maintain appropriate test result files, aid in maintenance of quality programs, and communicate quality information internally to the team and externally to the customers when required.

Education or Work Experience

• Must possess at least a year of post-secondary education in food chemistry or related field
• Minimum of 4 months experience in a QC lab environment

Additional Information

• History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts
• Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
• Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
• Need to be able to work while standing for long periods of time as well as retrieving samples out of the plant
• Be able to work from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders
• Lift up to 44lbs unassisted
• Ability to work in variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust etc.)
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and occasional weekends or Holidays as needed.
• All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
• Relocation support is not available for this position.
