Job summary

Lightship Security, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented support role to assist the Quality Manager with technical report reviews, internal audits, and quality document updates. The position emphasizes careful editing, template-based documentation, and organizing accreditation materials.

The ideal candidate has strong English spelling and grammar, familiarity with MS Word, and comfort working with templates and templates-driven processes. Ottawa-based role with collaborative team environment.

We’re looking for someone to support our Quality Manager with technical report reviews, support for internal audits, quality document updates, report checklist updates, process document management, and task tracking for our cybersecurity testing labs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys reviewing technical reports and laboratory process documentation. You don’t need a cybersecurity background, just a good understanding of IT, strong spelling and grammar skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with templates and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Help maintain and update quality manuals, procedures, and documentation
• Review of technical reports with the aid of a checklist to ensure that required information is present, that stated assessments are clear and accurate, and that there is consistency throughout the report
• Assist with organizing accreditation materials (ISO/NIST/SCC checklists, quality system evidence documentation, audit notes, etc.)
• Support version control and file organization in SharePoint/Teams
• Help prepare and clean up documents used for audits or accreditation renewals

What We’re Looking For

• Strong English language spelling and grammar skills
• Comfortable working with structured templates
• Organized, curious, and willing to ask questions
• Experience with Microsoft Word and basic document formatting
• Interest in quality, compliance, cybersecurity, and technical reporting

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Familiarity with SharePoint or document management tools
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025
• Experience with internal auditing
• Familiarity with Common Criteria and/or FIPS 140
