Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I for the Transfusion Medicine program at U of A Hospital. You will support the clinical laboratory by procuring, handling, processing, dispatching and testing specimens, and by reporting results accurately.
The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent. Temporary full-time position with day–evening–weekend shifts and a 1.00 FTE allocation.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
