Job description

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited Urinalysis course including full theory and practicum including macroscopic and microscopic reading of elements. Completion of an accredited ECG course including theory and practical. Phlebotomy, ECG and urinalysis experience within the last 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in a hospital setting and a high-volume Lab is an asset. Recent experience with EPIC and using a Rover is preferred.
