Job description

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications :

Competency in phlebotomy. ECG certification. Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

PSC Community or Mobile outpatient experience within the past six months preferred, hospital outpatient experience will be considered. Three months of phlebotomy experience with adult and pediatric patients within the past two years. Training and experience in Epic Connect Care with CP Lab Assistant with Result Entry is preferred. Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
