Job summary

A healthcare organization in Manitoba seeks a Laboratory Assistant to perform phlebotomy and process specimens. The ideal candidate will have Laboratory Assistant training and two years of laboratory experience. Responsibilities include ensuring reliable test results and working effectively with the public. Responsibilities

  • Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens on site.
  • Prepares specimens for transport and handles urinalysis, haematology, and biochemistry.
  • Ensures delivery of accurate and reliable test results.

  • Laboratory Assistant training

  • Experience with electronic medical records (particularly Accuro) is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens on site and prepares specimens for transport
  • Perform procedures in urinalysis, haematology and biochemistry
  • Responsible for the delivery of accurate and reliable test results

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry checks
  • Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends
