Job summary

A regional health authority in Winnipeg is looking for a casual Laboratory Assistant. You will perform phlebotomy, process specimens, and ensure accurate test results. Applicants must have Laboratory Assistant training and two years of experience, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Qualifications

  • Two years experience in a medical laboratory is required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (preferably Accuro) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy and process specimens on site.
  • Conduct procedures in urinalysis, haematology, and biochemistry.
  • Deliver accurate and reliable test results.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry checks
  • Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends
