Laboratory Assistant – Culture Media Production

Full-time Permanent Position

We are currently seeking a "Laboratory Assistant" in our culture media production laboratory located in St-Hyacinthe. The successful candidate will report to the Laboratory Supervisor - Media Division.

The main tasks of the successful candidate will be to:

• Clean and sterilize equipment;
• Identificate equipment; prepare workstations sterilely;
• Place orders and track inventory;
• Participate in media exports to our various partners and clients;
• Maintain various equipment (autoclave/pH meter/water system);
• Participate in the media quality control process.

You will possess the following qualifications, among others:

• A high school diploma;
• Experience in a production laboratory, an asset;
• Meticulousness and rigor;
• Autonomy and proactivity;
• Teamwork and strong communication skills
• Open-mindedness
• Enjoys learning new roles in a scientific environment
• Knowledge of the Office Suite and Dynamics AX, an asset
