ALS Canada Ltd. in Kamloops seeks a hands-on team member to prepare client samples and perform test work in the Sample Preparation and Comminution Department. You will operate Ro-Tap, crushers, and mills, while maintaining production logs and following safety rules.

Strong communication, basic computer skills (Excel), and a Grade 12 diploma are required; forklift experience is a plus. The role supports a dynamic lab environment with opportunities for growth and skill development.

Formación

• Good communication and hand-coordination skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Forklift licence or experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Capable of sieving, crushing, homogenizing and splitting samples utilizing Ro-Tap, Gilson screen, jaw crusher and cone crusher.
• Able to complete test work using Bond rod mills and ball mills.
• Able to complete supervised test work using drop weight tester, abrasion tester, Bond low-impact test and point loader tester.
• Maintain own production log, i.e., timecards.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain basic lab cleanliness.
• Be familiar with all safety rules for the lab and sample preparation.
• Handle compositing instructions.
• Perform basic routine inspections of equipment.
• Have a basic understanding of the electronic computer sample database.
• Perform screen analysis.
• Use correct methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.
• Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
