Job summary

Southlake Health in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a permanent part-time role. The LT performs phlebotomy and ECGs and supports additional lab tasks under supervision in a hospital environment.

The ideal candidate holds an OSMT certificate and a Laboratory Technician program diploma, with at least 1 year of related experience. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate from OSMT (Ontario Society of Medical Technologists) or equivalent.
• Graduate of Laboratory Technician training program.
• Minimum of 1 year or equivalent experience.
• Experience in phlebotomy and ECGs preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting is an asset.

About the role:

The Laboratory Technician (LT) provides a professional service in performing phlebotomy and electrocardiogram. In addition the LT performs other laboratory technical and non-technical functions under supervision.
