Lab Technician Assistant (Full Time / Part Time Contract)

Parrish & Heimbecker invites applications for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual to join our Grain division in Winnipeg, MB, as a Lab Technician Assistant on a full-time or part-time contract basis.

The contract requires availability from August to December 2025, with work scheduled Monday to Friday mornings or evenings, including occasional overtime or weekend hours.

About P&H Grain

Our division operates across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario, and Quebec, providing comprehensive grain and crop input services. We facilitate the matching of producer grain with domestic and export markets through our strategically located facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and export terminals. We offer a full range of crop input products and agronomic solutions, such as crop protection, certified seeds, nutrients, and custom applications.

Your Role

The successful candidate will assist in testing and grading grain samples, supporting the Quality Control Manager and Lab Technicians with various duties, including:

  • Preparing samples for analysis and testing
  • Logging detailed test results
  • Performing equipment maintenance checks
Required Qualifications
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills related to quality issues
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of lab terminology and basic testing procedures is an asset
