Job description

Our agricultural client is seeking a Lab Technician to perform various tests on food products. Our client values initiative on top of everything; someone that is determined to know why, how, and what’s next; a true critical thinker that isn’t afraid to ask questions and think outside of the box.   • This is a fulltime, temporary position with potential for permanency
  • Monday – Friday, day shift

Position Summary :

  • Conducting tests to ensure products meet established standards such as consistency, purity, and size
  • Setting up experiments, conducting investigations, and analyzing results
  • Maintaining lab area and equipment ensuring cleanliness, organization, safety, correct calibrations, and stocked inventory
  • Collecting samples of materials for analysis
  • Communicating analytical data to supervisors
  • Preparing solutions and reagents
  • Handling and storing chemicals safely
  • Following lab procedures closely
  • Testing new products or experimental processes

Required Qualifications :

  • A keen eye for detail; ability to see what’s missing, what’s changed, or what didn’t happen
  • Capable of communicating clearly and concisely, both written and verbally, about results, issues, and questions
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to quality, efficiency, accuracy, and safety
  • Basic lab experience
