Job summary

Cyclic Materials Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Lab Manager to lead our hydrometallurgical analytical laboratory. This hands‑on role combines supervision of lab analysts with analytical work supporting commercial plant operations and R&D.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in analytical chemistry or chemical engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role with direct responsibility for laboratory staff.
• Significant hands-on analytical chemistry experience in an industrial or commercial lab.
• Experience managing a LIMS and knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and data quality.
• Ability to interpret complex results and prepare clear technical reports with plant/R&D teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor lab analysts and technicians, manage schedules and workflow, and provide hands-on support as needed.
• Perform and oversee analytical testing, troubleshoot methods and equipment, review results, and communicate findings through technical reports.
• Maintain SOPs, QA/QC protocols, training materials, and lab practices aligned with ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and safety/environment requirements.
• Manage the LIMS and data integrity, equipment maintenance, and supplies to keep the lab operating reliably.
• Support method validation and method detection limit studies, and improve processes with plant and R&D teams.
• Work day or night shifts as required to support operations.
