Job summary

McGill University invites applications for a part-time role in Prof. Shuaiqi Guo’s laboratory.

The position involves assisting with laboratory experiments and routine testing, including mammalian and bacterial cell culturing, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The successful candidate will help with inventory by cataloging materials, entering data into databases, updating protocols and datasheets, tracking shipments, and ensuring daily opening and secure lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with little or no experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in research and/or laboratory settings.
• Priority will be given to students enrolled at McGill University.
• Knowledge of English at level 3 (0-4 scale).

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory experiments and routine testing such as mammalian and bacterial cell culturing.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with laboratory inventory by cataloging materials and equipment.
• Enter data into inventory databases, update protocols and datasheets, track and distribute laboratory shipments, and ensure daily opening and securing of the laboratory area.
