Anatomy and Cell Biology

Position Summary
  • Assist with the maintenance, generation and organization of the anatomy lab prosections collection (pre-dissected specimen and bone specimen).
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of prosection and storage spaces in the anatomy laboratory
  • Assist in the organization, storage and labelling of wet (prosected) and dry (bones, models, etc) specimens.
  • Assist in entering of specimen data into the online inventory database system.
  • Assists anatomist in generating prosections.
  • The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
  • Applicants must feel comfortable handling, moving, and lifting human cadaveric specimens
  • High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work
Knowledge of French and English

McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
